After 19 years in the NBA, Grant Hill is finally hanging up the shoes as he retires from the league at the age of 40. Those 19 years were bittersweet for the former Duke player as the brilliance got impeded by injury problems that took away his prime years from him. Still, he was able to recover and push through to play great until the end.

Although his retirement marks the end of playing professional basketball for Hill, it’s hard to imagine him being out of the NBA entirely. Even in his younger years, he was recognized for his smarts on the court as he didn’t just rely on his athleticism. Something tells me that he could be a great guide to some other upcoming athletes as a member of an organization.
